Director of Ministry—Children, Youth, and Families

We are currently seeking a new Director of Ministry for our Children's program. In the interim time, volunteers are continuing to offer Children's church on non-communion Sundays.

Options for Worship

On Sunday mornings during the school year (September through May) children attend the beginning of worship with their families. Following the Children's Message, children may proceed to the Nursery or Children's Church, depending on their age. During the summer the nursery is still available, but older children worship with the congregation for the entire service.

For children birth-age 3, the nursery is available during worship (starting at 10:15 a.m.). Our nursery volunteers share God's love for children through tender, playful care. Our introduction to the nursery explains some of the more practical policies.

Children's Church

Most Sundays, children in preschool/kindergarten and 1st-5th grade are invited to faith formation classes during worship time where they will explore the Bible through story, song, prayer and praise. On the first Sunday of each month, children stay with their families for the entire service in order to worship and celebrate communion together with the whole community of faith.

Children's Choir rehearses at 10:00 a.m. (almost) every Sunday during the school year. Children of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. There are also opportunities throughout the year where children and adults sing together in a slightly less structured manner. Many of our other musical opportunities are open to children as developmentally appropriate.

Sunday mornings during the school year (September through May) our middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) students gather for a time to connect and explore faith together. Youth meet at 9:15 a.m. Once per month, youth gather for a service, fellowship or other special event designed to connect to one another and to God.
